Step back in time with us to 1984, when Williamsburg Village was just a blueprint of dreams and potential. Picture the scene: fresh foundations being laid, bustling construction crews, and the excitement of a new community taking shape. Here are just a few pictures to share but if you have some to add, feel free to shoot us an email at [email protected]. We want to extend a huge thank you to Laura Ailes for sharing these!
The lot map. The ones with the numbers in dark pen were sold lots and decided models. Looking North from lot 7605 W 111th St You can see the beginnings of Judy and Kevin’s house The lots were former corn fields although a great amount of sand lies under the sod today. No trees, shrubs or even sidewalks and pavement. This is looking south. The house is the Foys. The trees mark the berm along Minnesota Bluffs Rd. At that time 169 did not exist as a freeway. To cross the river the traffic went across via Bloomington Ferry RD.
